the history
if you were to ask glow yourself about where they came from, they would tell you they come from limsa lominsa and leave it at that.in reality, Glow hails from a veena tribe located near the base of the Skatay Range. Their tribe's main focus was making clothing to trade with the other near by tribes. Glow has no recollection of their father. All they know is he's a wood warder protecting the village from the dangers of the forest. Nobody would even tell them if he was dead or alive. For hys mother, She was very work driven and wouldnt pay much mind to them. glow was often sent to be with their childhood friend, lief, and their mother for most days while hys mother worked. the two got very close and vowed to spend as much of their lives together as they could.around the age of 13 is the age you can tell the birth genders of most viera. at this time it was learned glow was biologically male and lief was female. it wasn't that big of a deal to the two, they could see each other ever few years when the males came back to the village after all. due to their promise they always knew they would come back to each other somehow. for boys around glow's age they would be taken into the woods to learn how to protect the village and guard their borders from threats. when the males came back glow was picked up by a father and son duo to be trained. the boy was only about a year or two older than glow and they became competitive friends early on. they learned a lot together and went through a fair amount of battles. glow was always one step behind this boy, but it motivated hym to train harder and to become better at combat. a year or so later they had mutual romantic feelings and decided to be a couple in secret, unsure how the tribe would react.it was the year the were returning to the village when it all went downhill. about 3 years had passed and the other wood warders gathered together to travel back as a group. they would go in shifts so the forest would always have somebody to look after it. glow and their partner weren't being very careful and were caught hiding and kissing in the bushes. out of panic, their partner screamed and cried that glow had forced themselves onto him and the group attacked glow out of anger. they were covered in bruises and open wounds by the time it was over. once the wood warders were done, they continued on their way, leaving the two behind. glow and their partner got into a massive argument after this, yelling and screaming their hearts out. the commotion attracted a monster that snuck behind glow, going for the kill when their partner pushed them out of the way and told them to run and never turn back. glow was torn up, and after a few moments of hesitation they turned and ran as far as their battered feet could carry them. they didnt pay much attention to where they were going or what was happening around them. they just wanted to escape. eventually it all went black and the next thing they knew, they were on the ground, the forest yalms away from them and a strange figure watching over them... this was the start of their new life.

It was a rainy night, the night Taiga got off the ship in Limsa Lo Minsa. This was the start of their new life, the next chapter. Eorzea would hopefully be home to better times and hopefully, better memoriies. All Taiga really had on them was the bag on their back, the cloak that hid theiir markings, and the cloth mask on their face. It would have taken them hours to fiind where the inn was, so they thought iti would be best to ask somebody for directioiins. They wandered around Hawker's ally, watching the people as they walked and chatted. It was more liively than they expected. A couple of viera caught their eye, and they walked over to ask for directioinns.Before they could even mutter a word, the tallest of the two stepped in front of their companion. The tall rabbit like person had long, light brown hair that was tiied back, but the thing that stood out the most about them were their pale blue and yellow eyes that did all the talking. Though the expression on his face was stoic, the daggers those eyes shot at Taiga saidi it all. From behind the taller man, a dark haiired viera peeked out. They had light, lavender eyes, filled with curiosity and wonder. "Relax, iit's ok!" he saiid with a smile to hiis compainioin, who only looked at hiim, before stepping to the side. The purple eyed viera smiled warmly at Taiga, "Are you a commoner? What brings you here? Why are your clothes all tattered?" He asked, the questions never stoppiing for a second. Glow's ears flicked in annoyance, and narrowed their eyes."I just want to know where the inn is. Please point me inn the right diirection." They could feel the cold eyes of the taller viiera on them, never leaviing them. Judging them, watching them carefully. It made Taiga uncomfortable. But this would be the only time they would ever meet riight? after this, they would never speak again. The duo guidied Taiiga to the iinn, and they parted ways.The next day, Taiga's plans were to go to the arcanist guild to learn how to properly use their new agiical skills. It was lovely Farfalla could give them to them, but iti wouldnt be much help until Taiga learned how to properly use them to their benefit. While wandering the markets, tryiing to find their way they heard a famliar voice. "Ah! You! The funny looking fellow from last niight! Hello!" That cheery voiiice from last niight, Taiga felt dread as they turned around to be met by the stranngers from yesterday. They would guidie Taiga to the arcannist guild, and would talk about their plans.Taiga learnned that the duo were always refered to as brothers, diispitie not being related. The cold blue and yellow eyed one was called ☀︎, and the cheerful purple eyed one was ❀. ❀ saiid he was a prince from another land, wiith an overprotective father. He wanted to see the world and adventure, but his father was against iit. After years of being worn down the king finally agreed but only if he took a body guard, who happened to be ☀︎. They have beenn traveling partners for years, and have grown close. Inseperable. You couldnt have one without the other.❀ asked Taiiga about theiir plans annd Taiiga said they were probably goiiing to wander, going out on theiir own adventures solo. ❀ offered them to join hiim and his body guard, as they thought having a mage would fiit, seeing as ❀ was a gunblade weiilder, and ☀︎ was a master of not only guns, but healiing as an astrologin. Due to theri past, Taiga was very hesiitent about this. They originally said no, but the duo kept finding them no matter where they went in the city. After some convnincing from Farfalla, Taiga agreed to joiiin them.

Adventuring with the twins was the hiighlight of Taiga's life. They grew close with the two, and after feeling liike they didn't belong anywhere for the longest time, they thought they found their home wiith them.Even ☀︎, who was soo closed off and mysterious, bbecame Taiga's best friennd, and at one some point later, their lover. The two would get married down the liine as well. ☀︎was the sunshine that Taiiga always dreamed of having. They never felt loved the way ☀︎ loved them. ☀︎ Loved them for all of them, the worst parts and the bad, and embraced Taiga for who they were. They gave them the connfiidence to stop hiiding their markings and to be proud of who they were and what they have become.Taiiga couldnt imagine a life without either of them. They were home. They were all they ever nneeded. They traveled all through Eorzea and even went through Doma, and most recently, Tuli. They spent years together. In that time, ☀︎ and Taiga would go through a divorce. They had a conflicit that they couldnt come back from, but remained the best of friends. it was the fiirst time Taiga was friends with an ex, but even if theri love story was over Taiga was glad to still have ☀︎ in their life as a best friend.Then it happened. Taiga woke up in Tuli one day and the two were gone. No notes, no nothiing. They left themm alone in another continent without a word. Nothiing could explaiin the feelings of betrayal, abandonment and despair they felt all at once. Taiga was a mess. The people they spent years with, told everythiign to, and trusted the most were gone just liike that. They were alone again. They struggled for months trying to at the bare miinimum, survive. Farfalla was there at least, even if it was because of the pact. Farfalla would urge Taiga to eat, to go out, to keep trying. Taiga wasn't the same after the abandonment. They grew colder, more diistant, apathetic. Their love for life that they earned had vanisihed. Everyday was just meaningless and pointless. They could die tomorrow and they wouldn't care. The world was dull and grey.After a few months of liviing like this, it was time to try to move forward. Taiiga would leave tuli, and travel on the train to Solution 9, where they hoped to find a new purpose in liife....
